About the role

You will own the automation-first quality strategy that defines how our products are validated before reaching users. This role requires you to design and execute test frameworks that keep pace with rapid feature development. You will partner deeply with Engineering and Product to embed quality into every sprint. Your work will directly influence release confidence and customer trust in our platform. You will act as a quality evangelist, shaping standards and practices across multiple engineering teams. You will have the autonomy to make technical decisions that impact our testing infrastructure. Your contributions will be visible in every major release and long-term product initiative.

What you'll do

Lead and standardize test automation practices across teams and services to ensure consistent quality expectations.

Design, build, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright and SerenityJS to support complex user journeys.

Develop automated test suites in JavaScript/TypeScript for web, API, and workflow validation to cover critical product scenarios.

Design and maintain REST API automation using Postman or equivalent tools to validate contract stability and integration behavior.

Integrate automation deeply into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and/or GitHub Actions to enable fast and reliable feedback.

Enforce mandatory quality gates, blocking releases on automation or sanity failures to protect the production environment.

Monitor automation executions, analyze failures, and drive root-cause resolution to minimize disruption in the development flow.

Conduct automation code reviews to ensure consistency, reusability, and maintainability across the engineering organization.

Collaborate during design and story elaboration to define acceptance criteria and risk coverage for upcoming features.

Mentor QA and engineering teams on automation frameworks, tooling, and best practices to elevate the overall quality culture.

Contribute to automation metrics, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives that highlight quality trends and gaps.

Drive adoption of new testing practices and tools, ensuring the team leverages modern techniques for sustainable automation.

Own end-to-end test coverage for major user workflows, ensuring that integrated systems behave as expected in production-like conditions.

Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to align testing strategies with product goals, timelines, and risk profiles.

Requirements

3+ years of experience in QA Automation / SDET roles to demonstrate a proven track record in quality engineering.

Strong hands-on experience with Playwright and SerenityJS (JavaScript/TypeScript) to build reliable and maintainable test suites.

Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript for building reliable, maintainable automation that can scale with product complexity.

Solid experience in REST API testing using Postman or similar tools to validate service contracts and integration points.

Hands-on experience with CI/CD automation using Jenkins and/or GitHub Actions to create efficient and traceable pipelines.

Having experience working with the Cucumber BDD framework to implement behavior-driven tests that align with business requirements.

Strong working knowledge of Git (GitHub) and modern version control workflows to manage code changes and collaboration.

Experience working with Docker and Kubernetes-based environments to test containerized applications and services.

Strong working knowledge of Accessibility (A11y) testing, with an understanding of WCAG principles to ensure inclusive products.

Experience with Desktop Automation testing to validate client-side and hybrid application behaviors.

Strong understanding of regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing to provide comprehensive quality coverage.

Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to debug complex automation failures and identify systemic issues.

Strong communication skills and the ability to influence quality across teams to align stakeholders on quality goals.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment where priorities may shift frequently.

Detail-oriented mindset with strong written and verbal communication to articulate issues and solutions clearly.

Commitment to learning and applying new testing techniques, tools, and frameworks to keep pace with evolving product needs.

Use AI agents or tools to perform day-to-day activities or to test AI-powered features as part of your testing workflow.

Familiarity with visual regression testing, cross-browser testing, and performance validation to expand quality coverage.

Experience designing or contributing to automation metrics and quality dashboards to provide actionable insights.
