Full-Stack Software Engineer at Haast Autonomous.
About the role
Haast Autonomous creates an autonomous aircraft network designed to transport medical supplies between healthcare facilities. We are a small, fast-moving team building the software and hardware infrastructure required for reliable, on-demand logistics. You will help define our engineering standards and transition our platform from prototype to a functional medical delivery network.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Develop and manage the operations portal using React and TypeScript to handle flight requests, inventory, and live mapping.
- Architect and scale the backend infrastructure using Supabase and PostgreSQL.
- Enhance core system reliability for mission planning, aircraft assignment, and telemetry data processing.
- Integrate our platform with Python-based bridges that communicate with ArduPilot aircraft and simulation environments.
- Implement testing protocols, logging, and observability tools to ensure production-level stability.
- Partner with simulation and autonomy engineers to synchronize digital twin systems with real-world flight operations.
Requirements
- Proficiency in TypeScript and React.
- Experience with SQL and PostgreSQL.
- Proven track record of deploying full-stack web applications to production environments.
- Knowledge of authentication, authorization, and multi-tenant data structures.
- Practical experience with Git, environment configuration, deployment workflows, and troubleshooting.
Nice to have
- Experience with Supabase and Python.
- Familiarity with Mapbox.
- Background in building real-time dashboards, websockets, or telemetry pipelines.
- Capability to manage Linux services, SSH, and cloud infrastructure.
