Retirement Implementation Specialist

About the role

This position involves managing the transfer of existing 401(k) plans to the Gusto platform. You will guide plan sponsors and administrators through the entire conversion process, from initial setup to the first contribution. The goal is to ensure accurate record-keeping and a smooth transition for all parties involved.

What you'll do

• Oversee a dedicated portfolio of 401(k) plan conversions from contract signing through asset transfer and initial contribution.
• Collaborate with plan sponsors and administrators to collect necessary documents and verify data for asset transfers and record-keeping.
• Act as the primary contact for plan sponsors and administrators via email, phone, and video, including scheduling through Calendly.
• Guide employers through pre-launch task dashboards to prevent delays and meet plan start dates.
• Track and improve performance metrics such as activation time, readiness time, CSAT, and average response time.
• Work with Operations, Sales, and Legal to facilitate asset transfers, manage client expectations, and handle complex plan adjustments.
• Utilize AI tools to improve workflows, client communications, and overall efficiency for your assigned plans.

Requirements

• 4 or more years of total work experience, with at least 3 years in client-facing implementation, technical account management, or retirement plan administration.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a large volume of complex, multi-stage processes simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of SaaS, Operations, or Finance, with a preference for retirement plan experience.
• Excellent analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail, especially regarding data accuracy and reconciliation.
• Proficiency with Salesforce and comfortable using case management and collaboration tools in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong communication abilities across email, phone, and video, with a client-focused approach.
• Cash compensation for this role in Denver is $53,750 to $64,500 yearly.

Nice to have

• RPS or CRPS designation, or actively pursuing either.
• Familiarity with ERISA requirements, payroll systems, bundled versus unbundled providers, or Safe Harbor compliance.
• Experience in a startup and/or financial services environment.
