About the role
Groupon is transforming into an experience discovery platform, connecting 42 million consumers with local businesses. This role focuses on acquiring new, large-scale partners in the "Things To Do" category. You will be responsible for identifying, pitching, and closing deals with major national and multi-market brands.

What you'll do
- Proactively identify and engage high-value national and multi-market prospects through your network and research.
- Manage the entire sales process, from initial contact to closing deals with enterprise-level partners in the entertainment and activities sector.
- Develop and negotiate complex partnership agreements, including pricing, margins, and contract terms, exercising independent judgment within established guidelines.
- Conduct thorough research into potential partners' business models and market positions to inform your sales approach.
- Present compelling proposals and strategic insights to secure new business.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth transition and successful activation of new partnerships.
- Understand the technical aspects of offer mechanics, pricing models, and integration methods.
- Provide market feedback and industry trends to leadership to help shape future business strategies.
- Utilize AI tools daily to enhance prospecting, research, and outreach efforts, aiming to accelerate the sales cycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3-5+ years of experience in enterprise B2B sales, with a preference for experience in the "Things To Do" sector. Experience in SaaS, digital media, or fast-paced marketplaces with complex deal closures is also valued.
- Proven history of meeting or exceeding new revenue or gross profit targets, with strong success in closing time-sensitive deals.
- Demonstrated ability in deal structuring, including understanding margins and contract terms, and knowing when to be firm and when to be flexible.
- Familiarity with ticketing and reservation systems, as well as connectivity APIs.
- Comfort managing the complete sales cycle independently, from lead generation to closing, with minimal supervision.
- Strong strategic thinking, presentation, and proactive business development skills.
- Proficient in using AI tools for prospecting and deal preparation as a standard practice.
