Engineering Manager, Cloud Platform

About the role

Greenhouse is seeking an Engineering Manager to oversee our Cloud Platform team. You will report to the Director of Platform Engineering and lead the development of our core AWS infrastructure and Kubernetes environments.

What you'll do

• Manage, mentor, and coach a team of engineers to support their professional growth and performance.
• Direct the strategy for AWS compute, networking, identity management, and core services.
• Establish processes for cloud cost observability, reporting, and accountability.
• Execute AWS cost management strategies, including the use of Reserved Instances and Savings Plans.
• Define technical roadmaps that balance security, reliability, and financial efficiency.
• Collaborate with the Security team and platform leadership on incident response and infrastructure standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in infrastructure or cloud platform engineering.
• Demonstrated ability to manage Kubernetes in production, including upgrades and cluster lifecycle.
• Hands-on expertise with AWS networking, compute, and IAM.
• Experience in a formal management or senior technical leadership role.
• Proficiency with infrastructure as code and GitOps tools such as Terraform and Helm.
• Ability to align technical objectives with business goals across multiple departments.
• Legal eligibility to work in Canada.
