Staff Systems Test Operations Engineer

About the role

You will define and implement manufacturing test strategies for advanced AI hardware systems. This role focuses on ensuring high-quality production standards through the development of test software and infrastructure for server modules, blades, and rack-scale units.

What you'll do

• Architect and build manufacturing test solutions for complex AI compute hardware.
• Create and maintain manufacturing test content across the product lifecycle.
• Collaborate with firmware, software, and hardware engineering groups to resolve technical issues.
• Use production data to refine test strategies, improve yields, and reduce false failure rates.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance during design reviews and root cause analysis.

Requirements

• Proven background in developing manufacturing test solutions for high-performance accelerators or large-scale server hardware.
• Demonstrated technical leadership as an individual contributor managing cross-functional projects.
• Comprehensive knowledge of system, board, and silicon design, including defining test coverage and leading investigations.
• Practical experience with Linux, OpenBMC, and hardware diagnostics.
• Proficiency in automation and scripting using Python, Bash, or equivalent languages.
• Ability to partner with diverse engineering teams to enhance system testability.

Nice to have

• Experience with rack-scale or multi-node systems and high-speed interconnects.
• Familiarity with open-source tools for system bring-up and manufacturing diagnostics.
• Background in designing testability features such as debug interfaces, telemetry, or self-test hooks.
