You will help shape a multi-platform product that goes beyond simple note-taking, focusing on creating the most useful and beautifully crafted experience for users. This role offers the chance to define new interaction patterns and influence the design culture of an early-stage company.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Collaborate with engineers on early feature definitions, shipping, and marketing new functionalities.
- Enhance the overall aesthetic and user experience of the product.
- Engage directly with users weekly to understand needs, test features, and inform future development.
- Alternate between exploring new concepts with prototyping tools and refining promising features with attention to detail in interactions, typography, and motion.
- Develop and maintain the brand and design language across the product.
Requirements
- Several years of experience delivering well-designed products to users, suitable for a senior or staff-level role.
- A systems-oriented mindset, with experience in open-ended tools rather than linear workflows.
- Ability to balance rapid iteration with meticulous attention to detail as features evolve.
- A natural inclination towards prototyping to test ideas quickly.
- Interest in solving problems using code and the latest AI tools.
- Focus on shipped product outcomes over design file perfection.
- Comfortable designing for multiple platforms including Mac, iOS, and web, with an understanding of platform-specific patterns.
- A builder at heart.
- Eager to work mostly in-person from the London office.
- Experience in or a strong desire to work in a startup environment during the zero-to-one phase.
- Values working with kind, ambitious, and pragmatic colleagues.

Practical notes
