Staff Software Engineer at Grafana Labs.
About the role
This role sits within the GTM Systems team, acting as a technical bridge between Revenue Operations and internal software engineering. You will architect integrations across the go-to-market stack and build internal tools to consolidate workflows and reduce SaaS expenditures.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Design and maintain end-to-end integrations involving Salesforce, Snowflake, BigQuery, Slack, Grafana, and billing systems.
- Create internal applications to replace third-party SaaS point-solutions.
- Establish development standards including CI/CD, deployment patterns, and documentation.
- Define API standards and canonical data models for GTM systems.
- Manage incident response and root-cause analysis for integration failures.
- Evaluate middleware, iPaaS, and third-party connectors using build-versus-buy criteria.
- Integrate AI and LLM workflows to automate repetitive operations tasks.
- Conduct design reviews and provide technical guidance to non-engineering stakeholders.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience in systems integration or internal platform development.
- Expert proficiency in Python for production-grade code.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce data models and APIs.
- Experience with at least one cloud data warehouse, such as Snowflake or BigQuery.
- Ability to integrate finance or billing systems like Stripe, NetSuite, or Zuora.
- Proficiency in API design, event-driven architecture, and ETL/ELT patterns.
- Strong communication skills to explain technical tradeoffs to finance and GTM teams.
Nice to have
- Experience with frontend frameworks like React or Slack Block Kit.
- Knowledge of vector databases including Pinecone, Weaviate, ChromaDB, or pgvector.
- Background in workflow automation tools such as n8n, Workato, Prefect, or Clay.
- Familiarity with Model Context Protocol or AI observability tools like LangSmith.
- Previous experience in B2B SaaS, Revenue Operations, or open-source environments.

Practical notes
- Compensation: CAD 186,368 to CAD 223,642 base salary plus Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
