Grafana Labs is seeking a Staff Product Analyst to join the Product Analytics team, focusing on the AI organization. This role involves defining success metrics for AI-powered products and translating data insights into product decisions. You will collaborate across departments to enhance Grafana's AI experiences.

What you'll do

• Partner with product teams to establish key performance indicators, dashboards, and product roadmap plans.
• Define how AI product experiences are measured, including adoption, engagement, quality, retention, and user outcomes.
• Guide the implementation of product data in collaboration with Product Design, Product Management, and Engineering to enable reliable analysis of AI features.
• Design, evaluate, and interpret experiments to assess the impact of new AI capabilities and inform product decisions.
• Develop dbt models to transform and test user behavior data with the Analytics Engineering team.
• Influence and define best practices for Product Analytics across various teams as the company grows.
• Contribute to the long-term vision and strategy for Product Analytics, balancing immediate needs with scalable solutions.

Requirements

• Experience partnering with product and engineering organizations, familiar with typical product KPIs and frameworks (e.g., DAU/MAU, funnels, A/B testing).
• Experience defining and tracking success metrics for complex product areas, including AI-powered features or workflows.
• Proficient in writing complex and efficient SQL.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, Omni, Hex, or Grafana.
• Experience writing dbt models, implementing Product Analytics tools (e.g., Heap, Pendo, Amplitude, FullStory), and using code version control (git).
• Experience using AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code) for rapid prototyping and iteration in analysis, data modeling, instrumentation, visualization, and code development.
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical topics to non-technical audiences and manage cross-team relationships.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of observability.
• Familiarity with Airflow or Prefect for generating ad hoc ETL jobs.

Practical notes

• This is a remote position for candidates in the USA on Eastern time zones.
• Compensation includes equity and a bonus (if applicable), in addition to the base salary.
• Grafana Labs is a 100% remote company with over 1,600 team members globally.
