About the role
We are seeking a Staff Product Analyst to act as a primary data partner for our AI organization. You will guide measurement strategy for key initiatives including Grafana Assistant, Investigations, and Agent Observability, helping our teams translate complex user data into actionable product improvements.

What you'll do
- Establish core KPIs, build dashboards, and assist with product roadmap planning.
- Define success metrics for AI features, focusing on engagement, retention, quality, and user outcomes.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Design, and Product teams to ensure accurate data instrumentation for AI workflows.
- Design and interpret experiments to validate the impact of new AI capabilities.
- Build and maintain dbt models to transform user behavior data.
- Set standards for product analytics practices across the company.
- Develop long-term analytical strategies that balance immediate needs with sustainable infrastructure.
Requirements
- Proven experience partnering with product and engineering teams to track standard KPIs like DAU/MAU, funnels, and A/B testing.
- Background in defining success metrics for complex product areas, specifically AI-driven features.
- Advanced SQL proficiency for daily data tasks.
- Experience with data visualization platforms such as Grafana, Looker, Tableau, Omni, or Hex.
- Proficiency in writing dbt models, using git for version control, and implementing analytics tools like Amplitude, Pendo, Heap, or FullStory.
- Ability to use AI-assisted coding tools like Cursor or Claude Code for prototyping and data modeling.
- Strong communication skills to translate technical findings for non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Understanding of observability concepts.
- Experience with Airflow or Prefect for managing ad hoc ETL processes.

Practical notes
Base compensation for Germany is €97,034 - €116,441, depending on experience and assessment. Benefits include equity, bonuses, and 30 days of annual leave, which includes company-wide shutdown days.
