What you'll do

• Architect and deploy AI features that empower users to organize, access, and derive value from massive volumes of structured and unstructured data.
• Engineer a rapid cycle of experimentation, building prototypes with large language models and agents, and rigorously testing them before production refinement.
• Lead the design of agentic product features, integrating sophisticated AI capabilities with internal communication, alerting, and ticketing systems.
• Apply automation and intelligent tooling to enhance both the user experience and the internal development lifecycle, reducing manual overhead.
• Assume full ownership of your AI creations, ensuring they meet standards for scalability, robustness, maintainability, and delivery of clear user value.
• Translate ambiguous product requirements into robust technical solutions, balancing innovation with reliability and performance.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define success metrics and validate that new AI features solve real user problems effectively.
• Implement observability and monitoring specifically for AI workflows, ensuring transparency and debuggability of model behavior.
• Mentor and influence engineering best practices around generative AI, contributing to the collective technical knowledge of the team.
• Explore and evaluate emerging techniques in context engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, and tool use to push the boundaries of our product.

Requirements

• Demonstrate substantial experience with large language models, including prompt engineering, context window management, and building applications on top of generative AI platforms.
• Provide a track record of delivering software applications that are in active production use by real customers and have measurable impact.
• Show familiarity with major cloud-native platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, including relevant managed services for compute and storage.
• Exhibit experience using observability tools and practices to monitor, troubleshoot, and gain insight into complex system performance.
• Have a minimum of 2-4 years of professional software engineering experience, with a focus on building reliable, production-grade systems.
• Prove competence in writing clean, testable code and collaborating effectively within an agile engineering team.
• Bring a strong understanding of distributed systems concepts and the challenges of operating services at scale.
• Display commitment to security, privacy, and compliance considerations in the design and implementation of data-centric features.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience building with agent frameworks or designing multi-agent systems that coordinate complex workflows.
• A background as a data analyst or professional experience working with data platforms such as Looker, Tableau, PowerBI, Snowflake, or DataBricks.
• Experience developing internal tools and frameworks that streamline data engineering workflows and improve team productivity.
• Contributions to open source projects related to AI, data processing, or observability.
• Knowledge of data modeling concepts, transformation layers, and semantic layers in analytical environments.
• Understanding of how to secure and govern data access in environments with sensitive or regulated information.

Practical notes

• Base compensation range in Ireland: €117,000 - €147,000.
• Benefits include equity and bonus opportunities.
• This is a 100% remote position, open to candidates residing in Germany, Ireland, Sweden, Spain, and the United Kingdom.
