About the role
We are seeking a Staff Product Analyst to act as a strategic partner to our AI organization. You will guide the measurement and success of key initiatives including Grafana Assistant, Investigations, and our broader AI observability solutions.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Establish top-level KPIs, dashboards, and roadmap planning across product functions.
- Define success metrics for AI-powered experiences, focusing on engagement, adoption, retention, and user outcomes.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Design, and Product Management to instrument product data for reliable analysis.
- Design and evaluate experiments to assess the impact of new AI features.
- Build dbt models to transform user behavior data in collaboration with the Analytics Engineering team.
- Set standards and best practices for product analytics as the organization scales.
- Develop a long-term strategy for product analytics that balances immediate needs with durable, scalable solutions.
Requirements
- Experience partnering with product and engineering teams, including familiarity with standard frameworks like A/B testing, funnels, and DAU/MAU.
- Proven track record of defining and tracking success metrics for complex products, specifically AI-powered workflows.
- Advanced SQL proficiency for daily data tasks.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Grafana, Looker, Tableau, Omni, or Hex.
- Proficiency in writing dbt models, using version control (git), and implementing product analytics tools like Amplitude, Pendo, Heap, or FullStory.
- Experience using AI-assisted coding tools like Claude Code or Cursor for prototyping, instrumentation, and analysis.
- Strong communication skills to translate technical insights for non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with observability concepts.
- Experience with Airflow or Prefect for generating ad hoc ETL jobs.

Practical notes
- Base salary for the UK is £91,755 to £110,106, depending on experience and assessment.
- Benefits include equity, bonus eligibility, and 30 days of annual leave (inclusive of company shutdown days).
