About the role
Gradial is building an AI-native marketing operations system to automate execution and speed up creative workflows. As a Principal SRE, you will lead the architecture and operational health of our production platform as we scale.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Manage the scalability, reliability, and operational performance of the production environment.
- Advance our use of Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and infrastructure as code.
- Establish engineering standards for system design, deployment, and operation.
- Create automation and tooling to increase developer velocity and system confidence.
- Oversee incident response, monitoring, alerting, and service readiness protocols.
- Identify and resolve scaling bottlenecks in collaboration with the engineering team.
- Guide long-term strategy regarding platform security, performance, cost, and reliability.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in SRE, DevOps, or platform engineering with production system ownership.
- Demonstrated success operating infrastructure within high-growth, fast-paced environments.
- Extensive knowledge of container orchestration, cloud-native architecture, and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in GitOps, infrastructure as code, and modern CI/CD deployment practices.
- Strong grasp of reliability fundamentals, including tracing, logging, metrics, and alerting.
- Ability to lead through influence and drive technical decision-making across teams.
Nice to have
- Experience with AI or ML infrastructure, specifically model deployment, GPU provisioning, or compute-heavy workloads.
- Background in managing resilient, scalable multi-cloud environments.
- Proficiency in Python or TypeScript for building internal operational tools.

Practical notes
Salary range: $180,000 - $240,000 annually. Compensation includes base salary, potential performance bonuses, and equity.
