About the role
Gradial is building an AI-native platform to automate marketing operations and content workflows. We are seeking an engineer to develop agentic systems that handle complex tasks by interacting with browsers, APIs, and codebases.

What you'll do
- Construct autonomous and semi-autonomous workflows for content operations.
- Test and refine model performance in live production environments.
- Implement reinforcement learning techniques to improve end-to-end agent behavior.
- Create modular systems for agent memory, tool usage, and evaluation.
- Build data pipelines for collecting and annotating usage data for SFT and RL training.
- Develop internal agent libraries, benchmarking frameworks, and prompting strategies.
- Work with users and internal teams to align AI outputs with specific operational needs.
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Minimum 1 year of direct experience working on AI or ML applications.
- Proficiency with AI tools including OpenAI and Anthropic APIs.
- Knowledge of LLMs, agentic architectures, and prompt engineering.
- Experience building production systems that integrate with external environments like browser automation, code execution, or API orchestration.
Nice to have
- Background in reinforcement learning or data-centric AI.
- Familiarity with evaluation strategies for agents or benchmarks like SWE-bench.
- Experience in user research or customer-facing roles.
