About the role

Join the MALTA team to build the core infrastructure and software foundations that power every Grab mobile application. You will contribute to high-quality, scalable mobile architecture while focusing on automation and continuous delivery.

What you'll do

• Build and verify backend services.
• Review code to ensure the codebase remains high quality.
• Work with various teams to determine and document project requirements.
• Update and maintain documentation for backend systems and architecture.
• Identify, debug, and fix backend technical issues.

Requirements

• Must be available to begin the internship in September 2026.
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor degree program for Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Competent in at least one programming language such as Python, Go, Java, Kotlin, Swift, or C/C++.
• Knowledge of automated testing methods including unit, integration, component, or end-to-end testing.
• Experience using Git and command-line interfaces.
