Senior Product Designer, Search and Personalisation

About the role

You will design the intelligence layer that anticipates user needs across the Grab superapp. This role focuses on translating machine learning outputs into intuitive discovery and search experiences for millions of users in Southeast Asia.

What you'll do

• Own the full design lifecycle for search, discovery, and personalization features from initial problem definition to final delivery.
• Partner with data and machine learning teams to turn algorithmic content into clear, user-friendly interfaces.
• Analyze qualitative research and experimentation data to find and resolve friction points.
• Integrate AI tools into your daily process for prototyping, research synthesis, and content exploration.
• Work alongside product managers, engineers, and data analysts to define goals and validate product assumptions.
• Maintain and improve design system standards to ensure visual consistency across high-traffic consumer touchpoints.

Requirements

• 4 to 6 years of professional experience as a Product or UX Designer with a portfolio of live, shipped products.
• Background in designing complex, data-heavy interfaces for marketplaces, e-commerce, B2B SaaS, or advertising platforms.
• Strong visual and interaction design capabilities, specifically in managing information density, layout, and component-based systems.
• Ability to articulate design decisions clearly to cross-functional partners including engineers and product managers.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Figma and advanced prototyping software such as ProtoPie.
• Demonstrated AI fluency, including the use of emerging tools to speed up design and research workflows.
