Founding GTM Lead
Job description
About the role
You will architect and own the end-to-end go-to-market engine for GovSignals, designing the AI-native systems that power our entire growth motion from awareness to conversion. This position requires you to personally build and iterate the workflows, data pipelines, and automation that compound our market reach instead of relying on traditional headcount. You will translate complex federal market signals into clear narratives and operational playbooks that the entire company can execute. Your daily work will involve directly wiring LLMs and automation tools to create a responsive, intelligent GTM stack that learns and scales. You are expected to act as the central nervous system for growth, making data-driven decisions that reshape our channels and messaging in real time. If you thrive on building the infrastructure of demand rather than just executing campaigns, this role defines the scope of your ownership.
Key facts
Location: USA
Engagement: Full-time
Hybrid (3+ days/week in office)
What you'll do
- Build the AI-powered GTM engine by constructing enrichment pipelines, agentic outbound systems, and LLM-driven personalization using no-code and code-based tools.
- Run high-velocity growth experiments that test messaging, channels, and ideal customer profiles on a daily basis, analyzing results weekly to iterate rapidly.
- Translate technical AI capabilities into compelling customer narratives by authoring decks, demos, one-pagers, and landing pages that explain hard problems in plain English.
- Design and execute multi-channel campaigns end-to-end, including email sequences, paid and social media, webinars, conference activations, and account-based plays targeting federal primes and major contractors.
- Own core growth metrics such as CAC, LTV, and funnel conversion, building dashboards and refining strategies based on rigorous data analysis instead of intuition.
- Partner tightly with product, sales, and deployment teams to ensure GTM programs align precisely with our ICPs, sales workflows, and the capabilities we are actively shipping.
- Scrappy system building where you replace the manual work of a five-person marketing team through smart integrations, custom GPTs, and automated workflows powered by modern tooling.
- Continuously monitor and optimize the AI-native GTM stack, ensuring that automation, LLM outputs, and data pipelines operate with high reliability and compliance.
- Act as the primary growth strategist who defines the playbook for demand generation, balancing long-term brand building with immediate pipeline creation.
- Document and share growth methodologies, creating reusable assets that allow the company to scale marketing impact without proportional headcount growth.
Requirements
- 3-8 years of experience in marketing, growth, or GTM roles, preferably within early-stage or high-growth startup environments where you wore many hats.
- Proven ability as an AI-native workflow builder, using AI tooling as your primary daily workbench to create real automations across multiple platforms.
- Demonstrated experience designing and scaling a marketing system from scratch, including automation, attribution, and integrations, rather than only managing campaigns someone else built.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a track record of translating technical product details into customer-facing narratives that drive conversion.
- High level of comfort working inside automation builders, CRMs, Notion documents, and sales pitches across diverse tools and environments.
- Strong analytical mindset focused on defining and tracking CAC, LTV, and conversion metrics to drive strategic refinements based on data.
- Self-driven ownership where you identify problems, build solutions, and deploy fixes without waiting for extensive approval or hand-holding.
- Willingness to work in a hybrid environment with a minimum of 3 days in the New York office to support collaboration and deployment activities.
Nice to have
- Prior experience building agentic outbound or AI-driven content operations in previous roles.
- Background in growth marketing, product marketing, or demand generation with a track record of measurable impact.
- Experience marketing AI, ML, developer tools, or SaaS products in competitive markets.
- Familiarity with GovTech, compliance, or federal contracting ecosystems that involve strict requirements and long sales cycles.
- A background in government contracting, the military, or the intelligence community that provides context for mission-critical procurement environments.
Practical notes
This role operates within a hybrid schedule requiring 3 or more days per week in the New York office. Travel is not currently required as part of the standard engagement, and no specific visa sponsorship details are provided in the source material. The position is full-time with an expectation of high autonomy and rapid execution within the GovSignals growth framework.
