Senior Software Engineer, AI/ML, AI Builder at Google.
About the role
This position within the Labs group focuses on incubating early-stage technology to advance how users interact with information. You will build and scale new product capabilities that aim to create long-term impact across the organization.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Develop and test code for new products and systems.
- Partner with team members on design and code reviews to maintain standards for efficiency, testability, and accuracy.
- Manage and update technical documentation based on user feedback and product changes.
- Identify, track, and resolve system issues by analyzing hardware, network, and service operations.
- Create solutions in specialized machine learning areas using existing infrastructure.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of software development experience in at least one programming language.
- 3 years of experience in launching, maintaining, or testing software products.
- 1 year of experience in software architecture and design.
- 3 years of experience working with machine learning infrastructure, including data processing, model evaluation, optimization, and deployment.
Nice to have
- Master degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
- 5 years of experience working with algorithms and data structures.
- 1 year of experience in a technical leadership position.
- Background in developing accessible technologies.
