What you'll do
- Develop and validate code for product or system enhancements.
- Engage in design discussions with colleagues and stakeholders to evaluate technology options.
- Review and provide constructive feedback on code written by peers to uphold best practices.
- Update and refine documentation and educational materials based on product changes and user insights.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve product or system issues by investigating their sources and understanding their impact on operations.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in software development using C++, C, or Python.
- A minimum of 3 years in testing, maintaining, or launching software products, with at least 1 year focused on software design and architecture.
- At least 3 years of experience in developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, or networks, as well as familiarity with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
Nice to have
- A master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
- 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- 1 year of experience in a technical leadership position.
- Experience in creating accessible technologies.
Skills & tools
- Proficiency in C++, C, or Python.
- Familiarity with large-scale system design and distributed computing.
- Experience with debugging and troubleshooting complex systems.
- Understanding of network operations and hardware architecture.
Practical notes
The salary range for this role is $174,000 - $253,000 (USD) plus a target bonus of 15% and equity options. Benefits include comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with company matching, generous paid time off, and parental leave policies.
