Senior Motion Designer

About the role

We are looking for a creative professional to transform static concepts into high-quality motion graphics and animations. You will work across product launches, brand campaigns, and web interfaces to produce fluid, engaging visual content.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Partner with art directors, copywriters, and design teams to build visual concepts and optimize assets for various digital platforms.
• Develop storyboards and style frames to establish project tone and pacing before starting production.
• Produce 2D animations, kinetic typography, and visual effects using text, photography, and vector assets.
• Synchronize audio, voiceovers, and music with visual elements to create final deliverables.
• Manage project files, maintain brand consistency, and iterate on designs based on peer and stakeholder feedback.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Motion Designer within a studio, agency, or in-house team.
• A portfolio that highlights strong interaction design and user experience skills.
• Ability to explain design decisions and wireframe or prototype effectively.
• Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, Framer, and Adobe XD.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with 3D animation software.

Skills & tools

• Animation: Adobe After Effects.
• Design & Illustration: Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
• Video Editing: Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Collaboration: Figma.

Practical notes

• Salary range: $111,000 to $167,000 CAD.
• Bonus: Eligible for a discretionary cash bonus of 15% of base salary.

• Equity: This role may be eligible for participation in the company equity plan.
