About the role
GitLab seeks a Recruiter to own the full lifecycle hiring process for Sales positions within the AMER region. You will own the development and execution of region-specific recruiting strategies that align with GitLab's DevSecOps platform objectives. This role requires you to own the balance of candidate sourcing, stakeholder communication, and data-driven decision-making to meet demanding hiring goals. You will own the responsibility of shaping employer brand narratives through authentic engagement with passive and active talent pools. The position demands ownership of building and maintaining a robust, diverse pipeline of qualified candidates from initial outreach to offer negotiation. You will own the continuous improvement of recruitment processes to enhance efficiency and candidate satisfaction in a fully remote environment. This is a six-month contract role focused on delivering high-quality hires against strict timelines.

What you'll do
Establish and execute recruiting strategies in partnership with cross-functional hiring teams for Sales roles across the AMER region.
Conduct proactive full lifecycle recruiting with an emphasis on cultivating a balanced mix of passive, active, and referral candidate sources.
Author and advertise precise job descriptions to draw a highly qualified and diverse candidate pool for open Sales positions.
Perform in-depth talent market research and analysis to inform and refine sourcing strategies and hiring recommendations.
Leverage personal networks and proprietary resources to enable high-quality, accurate, and confidential conversations with potential candidates.
Apply data analytics to develop and manage effective hiring team management strategies and optimize recruitment workflows.
Champion the candidate experience by ensuring timely, thoughtful, and engaging communication at every stage from initial contact through offer acceptance.
Utilize a data-driven approach to pipeline management by monitoring key performance indicators to evaluate the effectiveness of recruiting processes.
Generate recommendations for iterative course corrections based on insights gathered from ATS systems, candidate surveys, and structured feedback loops.
Contribute to the evolution of TA processes with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Employ deep knowledge of recruiting pipelines to identify industry best practices and analyze competitor talent strategies.
Act as an ambassador for GitLab values and culture in all internal collaborations and external-facing interactions.
Collaborate with the Talent Brand team to create and deliver engaging employer brand content that strengthens our networks and partnerships.
Drive sourcing initiatives that specifically target high-caliber Sales professionals in a competitive global and remote job market.
Requirements
Demonstrate experience recruiting at all levels, with a proven track record in Sales positions, including roles across Customer Success, Professional Services, Field Operations, Enablement, and Ecosystems.
Show a history of successful recruiting for positions within competitive global and remote job markets, adapting strategies to meet regional demands.
Maintain a focused commitment to delivering an excellent candidate experience that reflects GitLab's values and standards.
Thrive as an ambitious, efficient, and stable professional capable of performing reliably under tight deadlines and managing competing priorities.
Possess the ability to build collaborative cross-functional relationships effectively across multiple time zones and cultural contexts.
Hold the right to work in the United States or Canada without sponsorship requirements for the position location.
Have at least 6 months of remaining contract term available to fulfill the duration of this engagement.
Be located in either Canada or the United States in a remote work setting to ensure consistent overlap with core collaboration hours.
Nice to have
Preferred experience working within the DevSecOps, developer tools, or high-growth technology sectors.
Familiarity with GitLab's product suite and the intelligent orchestration of DevSecOps workflows.
Understanding of AI integration within modern recruiting workflows and productivity tools.
Practical notes
This is a 6 month contract position based in Remote, Canada or Remote, United States.
No travel is required for this role as it is fully remote.
