Professional Services Program Manager

About the role

You will oversee complex, multi-workstream service engagements for strategic customers, ensuring their transformation goals align with structured execution plans. This role requires building strong relationships with stakeholders while maintaining visibility, accountability, and clear communication across all project phases.

What you'll do

• Direct the delivery of multi-workstream engagements, focusing on measurable outcomes and business value.
• Establish and maintain program roadmaps, dependencies, milestones, and deliverables.
• Manage stakeholder expectations, including executive leadership, engineering, and security teams.
• Define program strategy, including business justification, resource planning, and success criteria.
• Create core program documentation such as RACI charts, work breakdown structures, and communication plans.
• Forecast revenue for assigned programs and track actuals against plans in partnership with Engagement Managers.
• Lead change management efforts to ensure customers can sustain the outcomes delivered.
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve project management processes and delivery assumptions.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading complex, interdependent programs in an external, billable consultancy or professional services environment.
• Proficiency in program planning, reporting, and communicating delivery metrics to diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to manage long-term project budgets, schedules, and risks.
• Strong understanding of agile and other project management methodologies.
• Ability to lead program-level meetings and drive progress across multiple workstreams.
• Willingness to complete the GitLab Project Management certification within 2 months of hire.

Nice to have

• Top Secret Security Clearance.
• PMI Certification or similar industry credentials.
• Domain expertise in data migrations, software implementations, IT application modernization, or end-user training.
• Experience with DevOps platforms or tooling.

Practical notes

• Salary range: $92,880 to $156,600 USD (US residents only).
• Compensation includes base salary, equity, and benefits; sales-eligible roles may include incentive pay up to 100% of base.
