Senior Customer Success Architect at GitLab
About the role
This position involves acting as a primary technical advisor for GitLab's largest and most critical enterprise and government clients in Singapore. You will guide these organizations in adopting GitLab's DevSecOps platform to achieve their strategic objectives and deliver tangible, lasting results.

What you'll do
- Guide strategic adoption of GitLab's DevSecOps platform for key enterprise and government accounts, focusing on business outcomes and long-term value.
- Develop and execute comprehensive success plans, translating customer objectives into measurable technical milestones and adoption strategies.
- Serve as the executive-level technical liaison, coordinating issue resolution across Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Support teams.
- Provide expert guidance on CI/CD, cloud architecture, and DevSecOps best practices, shaping customers' long-term platform strategies.
- Lead the resolution of complex, cross-functional escalations, ensuring root cause analysis and executive-level communication.
- Design and implement technical enablement programs to address systemic maturity gaps within customer portfolios.
- Advise on critical cloud and platform architecture decisions, including multi-region deployments, secrets management, and network security for regulated environments.
Requirements
- Must be a Singapore Citizen and reside in Singapore.
- Fluency in both English and Mandarin Chinese is mandatory.
- At least 7 years of experience in customer-facing technical roles such as Technical Account Management, Solutions Architecture, Pre-sales, or Consulting.
- Proven experience working with enterprise or government clients across diverse industries including Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, Manufacturing, and Telecommunications.
- Demonstrated experience with technology and platform transitions, such as on-premise to cloud migrations, application modernization, and Waterfall to DevOps/DevSecOps transformations.
- A strong history of successfully managing complex enterprise customer engagements with significant commercial, technical, and reputational stakes.
- Proven ability to build and defend executive-level business cases, influencing budget and platform strategy.
- Expertise in DevSecOps practices, including integrating security scanning (SAST, DAST, SCA) into development workflows and architecting enterprise-scale CI/CD pipelines.
- Deep understanding of Git workflows, merge request processes, and modern software delivery lifecycles.
- Experience with infrastructure as code, GitOps, and cloud/on-premises environments, including networking, IAM, and secrets management.
- Ability to develop actionable success plans with measurable goals and verifiable business outcomes.
- Demonstrated capability to drive product adoption and influence stakeholders at all levels within an account.
- Proven ability to operate autonomously in ambiguous, high-pressure situations with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Experience advising on complex trade-offs such as multi-cloud vs. hybrid environments, or self-managed vs. dedicated platform solutions.
