Your primary responsibility will be to craft and implement strategic marketing initiatives that resonate with enterprise buyers while closely aligning with sales efforts. Your contributions will have a direct impact on pipeline generation and revenue growth for GitLab.

What you'll do
- Spearhead the strategy and execution of marketing campaigns for the 1:Few account tier, tailoring messaging for specific sectors such as financial services and the public sector.
- Assess the current marketing technology stack, making informed decisions on whether to develop new capabilities in-house or acquire external solutions, with a focus on AI-driven tools.
- Transition account targeting from traditional demographic data to a "jobs to be done" framework, allowing for customized segmentation and content that addresses the unique challenges faced by target accounts.
- Collaborate closely with Sales leadership through regular meetings to ensure a shared understanding and alignment of program efforts across teams.
- Identify and implement engagement triggers, such as intent signals and participation in webinars, to stimulate targeted sales outreach and personalized communication strategies.
- Establish and oversee a system for measuring the effectiveness of Account-Based Marketing (ABM) activities, directly linking them to pipeline growth and revenue outcomes.
- Partner with Content, Design, and Sales teams to ensure the success of regional campaigns while maintaining ownership of your strategic initiatives.
- Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to inform marketing strategies and enhance campaign effectiveness.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to refine marketing approaches and improve overall performance.
- Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the marketing team.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for ABM initiatives.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in B2B marketing, particularly in selling to technical enterprise buyers within a dynamic SaaS environment.
- Proven track record of managing multi-tiered account-based marketing programs at scale, including both industry-specific and broader programmatic strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to work in tandem with sales teams, sharing accountability for pipeline results and coordinating efforts at the account level.
- Strong capacity to critically evaluate and implement marketing technologies, favoring cost-effective and AI-native solutions over traditional platforms.
- Experience in crafting account segmentation and messaging based on solution-oriented or "jobs to be done" methodologies.
- Excellent analytical skills, with a solid grasp of pipeline management and attribution metrics.
- A proactive and results-driven mindset, capable of building and owning strategic programs from inception to execution.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration across teams.

Practical notes
- The base salary range for this position in the United States is between $139,200 and $235,200 USD. This range does not include bonuses, equity, or benefits. Sales roles may qualify for incentive pay up to 100% of the base salary.
