Key facts
What you'll do
- Provide technical guidance and leadership across various projects within the enterprise.
- Collaborate with product managers and engineering teams to address complex challenges and implement effective solutions.
- Develop and implement a software development strategy for the Platform Engineering domain.
- Ensure the quality and performance of technical solutions while mentoring and coaching team members.
- Share best practices and drive process improvements across teams.
- Evaluate operational processes and resource needs to achieve desired outcomes.
- Participate in on-call support and operational duties as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in software development and platform architecture.
- At least 4 years working with open-source frameworks.
- A minimum of 3 years in system architecture and design.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure for at least 3 years.
- Proficient in complex system design, data pipelines, and performance tuning, with strong knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
- Advanced skills in one or more object-oriented programming languages, including Java, .NET, Go, Python, or C++.
- Familiarity with web technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is preferred.
- Understanding of open-source databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL.
- Experience with BMC Helix platform and transitioning to open-source solutions is a significant advantage.
- Strong knowledge of web service integration (REST/SOAP) and middleware.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively lead projects and interact with stakeholders.
- Experience in continuous delivery (CI/CD) and Infrastructure as Code practices.
- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and analytical problem-solving techniques.
- Experience with Windows Server Administration and Windows Event Log.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing demands.
- Familiarity with developer tools throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Understanding of big data and streaming data architectures, as well as knowledge of monitoring tools like Grafana and Prometheus.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with open-source tools such as GIT, Jenkins, and CircleCI.
- Knowledge of Terraform and Ansible.
- Experience with machine learning and AI technologies.

Practical notes
- The salary range for this position is $115,000.00 - $230,000.00 annually. This range serves as a guideline and may vary based on factors such as experience, education, and market conditions.
