Civil Engineer- Federal Projects at Garver.
About the role
Join the Federal team at Garver to design infrastructure for military and government clients. You will manage civil engineering tasks for projects ranging from site development and roadways to training ranges and utility systems.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Create design deliverables including technical reports, construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Support both design-build and design-bid-build project delivery methods for the Air Force, Navy, National Guard, and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
- Conduct construction administration, submittal reviews, and onsite observation during the construction phase.
- Collaborate across disciplines to meet project requirements and deadlines.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
- Current Professional Engineer license.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in civil design.
- Ability to communicate clearly in writing and through verbal presentations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Willingness to travel, including occasional overnight stays.
Nice to have
- Prior internship experience in civil engineering.
- Background in site development projects.
- Previous work history with government or federal contracts.
- Advanced experience with design software packages.
