Sr. AI/ML Data Engineer

About the role

Galent is seeking a Senior AI and Data Engineer to focus on the evaluation and development of Generative AI and LLM products. You will take full ownership of technical solutions, moving them from initial design to final production deployment.

• Design and support workflows and data pipelines that scale.
• Create frameworks to evaluate LLM applications and Generative AI.
• Manage golden datasets used for rigorous model testing.
• Conduct performance benchmarking for Large Language Models.
• Build automation and ML-based tools to assist delivery processes.
• Launch AI solutions into production environments.
• Collaborate with delivery teams to address technical hurdles.
• Enhance operational efficiency, data quality, and automation standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in AI Engineering, Data Engineering, Machine Learning, or Data Science.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Practical background in LLMs and Generative AI.
• Proven ability to evaluate LLMs using benchmarking, golden datasets, or LLM-as-a-Judge methods.
• Experience moving ML solutions into production.
• Knowledge of data quality frameworks, validation, and pipeline architecture.
• Ability to integrate cloud AI services and APIs.
• Experience working within Agile, cross-functional groups.
• Capability to manage stakeholders and communicate effectively.
• Ability to own projects from start to finish.

• Prior experience in consulting or customer-facing roles.
