What you'll do

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into technical specifications and architectural designs.
• Design and implement scalable, robust, and secure solutions that align with Bamboohr's strategic goals and client needs.
• Lead architectural discussions and decision-making processes, ensuring that all solutions adhere to best practices and industry standards.
• Conduct thorough assessments of existing systems and recommend improvements or upgrades to enhance performance and efficiency.
• Work closely with development teams to ensure seamless integration of solutions, providing guidance and support throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for architectural designs, processes, and systems to facilitate knowledge transfer and compliance.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact on Bamboohr's offerings and client solutions.
• Mentor and guide junior architects and technical staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
• Participate in client meetings and presentations, articulating complex technical concepts in a clear and engaging manner to non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with project managers to define project scope, timelines, and resource allocation, ensuring successful project delivery.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with architectural decisions, proactively addressing potential challenges before they impact project outcomes.
• Contribute to the development of Bamboohr's architectural frameworks and methodologies, promoting consistency and quality across all projects.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect or in a similar role, with a strong background in software development and system architecture.
• Proficiency in designing and implementing solutions using cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Solid understanding of enterprise architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices.
• Experience with microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and a proactive approach to challenges.

Nice to have

• Experience with DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.
• Knowledge of data modeling, database design, and experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with security best practices and compliance standards relevant to software architecture.
• Previous experience in a client-facing role, with a track record of building strong relationships with stakeholders.
• Understanding of industry-specific regulations and standards, particularly in sectors such as finance, healthcare, or telecommunications.
