Senior Solution Engineer

About the role

Freshworks is looking for a technical expert to support our sales efforts in the SMB and mid-market sectors. You will act as a bridge between our product capabilities and client needs, ensuring that our software effectively solves complex business challenges.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Lead technical discovery sessions and define project scopes for potential deals.
• Design and present custom product demonstrations and proof-of-concept projects.
• Handle the technical aspects of RFPs, RFIs, and compliance documentation.
• Create solution blueprints and wireframes to address specific client pain points.
• Advise sales leadership on technical feasibility and resource allocation.
• Integrate AI features and automated workflows into customer-facing solutions.
• Coordinate with support and implementation teams to ensure smooth post-sale transitions.

Requirements

• 4 to 7 years of experience in technical pre-sales, solution engineering, or similar customer-facing SaaS roles.
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Experience working with SMB and mid-market customer segments.
• Ability to communicate technical value to stakeholders ranging from system administrators to executive leadership.
• Capacity to work across various global time zones based on regional requirements.

Nice to have

• Practical coding or scripting skills in Python or JavaScript.
• Experience building integrations using REST APIs and webhooks.
• Familiarity with applying generative AI and machine learning concepts to business workflows.
