Director - GTM Systems Architecture

About the role

Freshworks is seeking a strategic leader to define and oversee the architecture of our global Go-to-Market operating model. You will bridge the gap between business strategy and technical execution, designing the systems and workflows that power our commercial organization.

What you'll do

• Translate high-level business goals into scalable technical architectures and operational processes.
• Create future-state operating models that improve productivity and simplify the customer lifecycle.
• Own the long-term technology roadmap for the GTM ecosystem, including Salesforce and connected platforms.
• Design data, integration, and automation strategies to ensure platform interoperability.
• Build frameworks for AI-ready workflows and intelligent automation.
• Set governance standards and architecture principles to reduce technical debt.
• Partner with stakeholders in Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Finance, and Engineering to align technology with business outcomes.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Business Systems, Revenue Operations, Enterprise Architecture, or Sales Operations within a high-growth SaaS environment.
• Extensive knowledge of Salesforce and the GTM technology stack.
• Proven ability to design scalable systems that integrate people, processes, and data.
• Deep understanding of end-to-end GTM processes across Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success.
• Expertise in API strategy, enterprise integrations, and data architecture.
• Ability to influence senior leadership and cross-functional teams without direct management authority.

Nice to have

• Salesforce Technical, System, or Application Architect certification.
• Experience with tools such as Marketo, LeanData, Gong, Clari, Workato, Snowflake, or Segment.
• Background in implementing AI-driven business capabilities.
• Experience leading large-scale commercial transformation projects.

Practical notes

• This is a hybrid role requiring onsite attendance in San Mateo, CA, three days per week (Tuesday through Thursday).
• The annual base salary range is $196,350 to $242,550, plus a target bonus.
