Forward Deployed Engineer

About the role

FourKites is seeking a technical professional to bridge the gap between software development and direct client interaction. You will manage the entire lifecycle of integration and Agentic AI projects, from initial discovery to post-launch deployment for enterprise customers.

What you'll do

• Participate in technical discovery calls to provide immediate solutions for client requirements.
• Build and deploy Agentic AI workflows and scalable software features.
• Develop production-grade integrations to connect FourKites with external customer systems.
• Create and extend workflows using LangGraph and Agent Studio.
• Perform code reviews and manage the resolution of integration failures through root cause analysis.
• Contribute to the shared library of integration and AI assets while mentoring other engineers.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Python and Java with a focus on clean, testable, production-ready code.
• Strong grasp of data structures and algorithms to evaluate technical complexity.
• Practical experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, and the design of agentic workflows.
• Working knowledge of LangChain, LangGraph, or similar frameworks.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Background in logistics, supply chain, or B2B SaaS environments.
• Familiarity with TMS, WMS, EDI standards, or carrier integrations.
• Experience with low-code tools such as Temporal, Pipedream, or n8n.
• Proficiency in visualizing integration designs via draw.io or Lucidchart.
• Experience with ETL processes, data warehouses, and queueing systems.

Practical notes

• Annual base salary range: $70,000 - $100,000 plus bonus, incentives, and stock options.
