Engineering Manager

About the role

Form Health is a virtual obesity medicine clinic scaling evidence-based care through a proprietary digital platform. We are seeking an engineering leader to manage the development of our patient-facing mobile app and the internal clinical tools used by our care teams. This role focuses on high-velocity, AI-native delivery while maintaining the security and reliability required for a healthcare environment.

What you'll do

• Lead, mentor, and hire a growing team of software engineers.
• Guide architectural decisions for backend services, web, and mobile applications.
• Implement and coach modern delivery practices including small-batch releases, feature flags, and continuous delivery.
• Integrate AI-native workflows, such as Claude Code, into the team development process.
• Partner with clinical, product, and design leadership to translate business requirements into technical roadmaps.
• Ensure all systems meet HIPAA compliance, accessibility standards, and performance requirements.
• Monitor DORA metrics to track and improve team throughput and system stability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in engineering management.
• Previous experience as a senior or staff-level engineer.
• Demonstrated ability to lead the delivery of complex, production-grade systems.
• Hands-on fluency with agentic software development and AI-assisted coding tools.
• Strong communication skills for working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience instilling engineering fundamentals like testing, CI/CD, and operational excellence.

Nice to have

• Background in healthcare, clinical systems, consumer health, or regulated industries.
• Experience with mobile application development and workflow automation.
