Key facts
What you'll do
- Develop essential components from start to finish, ensuring proper ownership, auditing, and authorization.
- Manage the domain model, transforming Fluidstack's landscape of power, data centers, and chips into cohesive entities that remain relevant over time.
- Establish interactions with external systems, processing formats that our domain uses, such as KMZ, BIM, and Revit.
- Equip AI agents to operate within our systems effectively, providing them with the necessary tools and safeguards for safe operation.
Requirements
- Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to navigate complex situations, creating clarity for others.
- Quick learner who can gain proficiency in new areas rapidly, whether related to workflow engines, authorization models, or geospatial formats.
- Strong sense of abstraction, capable of identifying and consolidating redundant components into streamlined solutions.
- Experience in modeling domains with a solid understanding gained from practical challenges.
- Proven ability to organize chaotic, unstructured data into a usable format, particularly in machine learning, data engineering, or research contexts.
- Familiarity with AI tools, including LLM APIs and agent frameworks, and regular use of AI coding tools.
- Experience deploying production code relied upon by others, with proficiency in various programming languages.
Nice to have
- Experience in machine learning engineering, particularly in extracting and synthesizing unstructured data.
- Familiarity with workflow and orchestration tools such as Temporal, Cadence, or Airflow.
- Knowledge of geospatial data formats (KMZ/GIS) or Building Information Modeling (Revit, IFC).
- Understanding of authorization and policy frameworks (OPA, Zanzibar-style, RBAC/ABAC).
- Experience with audit systems or event sourcing.
- Proficiency in Go, TypeScript, and Postgres.
Skills & tools
- Strong programming skills in multiple languages.
- Experience with AI tooling and frameworks.
- Familiarity with data modeling and engineering practices.

- Salary range: $208K - $248K, including a competitive compensation package comprising salary and equity.
