About the role
Join Flexport's Global Operations team, the frontline group managing customer supply chains from start to finish. This role focuses on ensuring top-tier service by overseeing global shipment movements and collaborating with partners and technology teams. You will contribute to innovation through process automation and data-driven insights.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Maintain Flexport's high quality standards, ensuring timely shipments and proper handling of exceptions.
- Meet internal key performance indicators and service level agreements for quality delivery.
- Adhere to established standard operating procedures.
- Manage the client experience, resolving issues promptly and ensuring smooth operations at both origin and destination, escalating as needed.
- Coordinate daily logistics with internal and external partners, including carriers, vendors, customs, and warehousing.
- Execute the complete movement of freight shipments within a regional network, covering both imports and exports, including intermodal transport.
- Support shipments managed by partners as they gain autonomy.
- Provide quotes and invoice client shipments, managing their profit and loss.
- Assist in preparing for quarterly and monthly business reviews and conduct client operational calls when necessary.
Requirements
- 2 or more years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, supply chain, ocean carrier operations, or consulting.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Adaptable to new technologies and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective time management skills, capable of prioritizing and handling a large volume of tasks.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively seek and incorporate feedback.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interactions.
- Strong teamwork and relationship-building abilities.
- Mindset oriented towards efficiency, best practices, and standardization.
- Proven problem-solving capabilities.
- Fluent in both English and Spanish.
- A "compliance first" approach, respecting regulatory requirements in a heavily regulated industry.
