Senior Corporate Counsel - Legal Transactions

About the role

This position will focus on supporting Five9's commercial and transactional legal needs. You will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of agreements. This role requires a skilled legal professional to protect the company's interests.

Key facts

What you'll do

Draft, examine, and negotiate customer agreements, partner agreements, and other commercial contracts.

Advise internal business teams on legal risks and provide practical solutions for contract-related matters.

Manage and resolve legal issues that arise during the contract lifecycle.

Contribute to the development and improvement of standard contract templates and legal processes.

Assist with corporate governance and other legal projects as needed.

Requirements

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Admission to at least one state bar.

A minimum of 7 years of relevant legal experience, with a significant portion focused on commercial transactions and contract negotiation.

Demonstrated experience with SaaS agreements and related legal considerations.

Familiarity with intellectual property law and data privacy regulations.

Nice to have

Experience working in a public company environment.

Knowledge of cloud computing technologies and the contact center industry.

Proficiency in legal research and contract drafting software.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
