We are seeking a Technical Writer to shape how developers understand and utilize Firecrawl. Great documentation is crucial for developer adoption and retention, and this role is central to ensuring our product's success by making complex technical information accessible and actionable.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Develop and maintain the core documentation, guides, tutorials, and API references that developers depend on.
- Translate intricate technical features into clear content that enables users to achieve their goals quickly.
- Actively use the product to identify and address any points of confusion in the documentation.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure accurate and timely documentation of new features.
- Treat documentation as a product, analyzing user behavior to identify and resolve areas where developers struggle.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience creating technical documentation for developer-focused or API products, with a portfolio to demonstrate your work.
- Proven ability to write with exceptional clarity, making complex subjects easy to understand.
- Sufficient technical aptitude to read code, interact with APIs, and comprehend the subject matter being documented.
- A strong commitment to the developer experience, paying close attention to details that enhance documentation usability.
- A preference for shipping, measuring, and iterating over lengthy theoretical planning.
