Job description
Growth Engineer, Product Growth at firecrawl.
About the role
This role focuses on transforming initial interest into sustained engagement with Firecrawl's product. You will be a full-stack engineer, concentrating entirely on growth initiatives. Your success will be measured by improvements in key funnel metrics, rather than just feature delivery.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Manage the entire user journey from initial signup through activation, onboarding, and conversion.
- Implement tracking for the user funnel, conduct experiments, and deploy changes that improve metrics.
- Develop across the full stack, from the user-facing frontend to the supporting backend systems.
- Take ownership of conversion and activation rates, including measurement and improvement.
- Work closely with data to form hypotheses, test them, and rapidly iterate based on results.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as a full-stack engineer.
- Previous experience in growth or product-led growth (PLG) roles.
- A track record of personally owning and improving conversion, activation, or other funnel metrics.
- Ability to think scientifically, applying a hypothesis-experiment-measure-iterate approach.
- Experience conducting A/B tests and learning from their outcomes.
- Familiarity with developer-facing products, SDKs, APIs, and understanding how developers adopt tools.
- A history of sustained tenure in previous roles, demonstrating commitment to projects.
- A preference for rapid deployment, measurement, and iteration over extensive pre-launch perfection.
- Must be authorized to work in the US or eligible remote-hire regions; visa sponsorship is not available currently.
Nice to have
- Experience shipping in-product growth features for dev-tools or SaaS companies (e.g., onboarding, activation, upgrade flows).
- Experience building conversion pages that measurably increased signups.
- Familiarity with Next.js, React, Tailwind, TypeScript, Vercel, PostgreSQL, or the Anthropic Claude API.
- Experience building with LLMs in production, including prompt engineering or inference pipelines.
