Job description
Growth Engineer, Support Engineering
We are seeking a full-stack engineer to drive developer adoption and product engagement. This role focuses on the entire user journey from initial discovery through to becoming a committed user, with success measured by tangible improvements in key growth metrics. You will be responsible for instrumenting, experimenting, and building product features that directly impact user conversion and retention.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Take ownership of the complete user growth pathways, including signup, activation, and onboarding.
- Implement tracking, conduct experiments, and deploy changes that positively influence core product metrics.
- Develop solutions across the full stack, from user-facing interfaces to the underlying backend systems.
- Treat user conversion and activation as your primary objectives, actively measuring and improving them.
- Apply a scientific approach to problem-solving, forming hypotheses, testing them, and iterating rapidly based on results.
Requirements
- Possess 5+ years of experience as a full-stack engineer, with a proven background in growth or product-led growth initiatives.
- Have personally managed and improved conversion, activation, or funnel metrics, not just delivered features for others to measure.
- Demonstrate a scientific mindset, capable of forming hypotheses, designing and running experiments (including A/B tests), and learning from both successful and unsuccessful outcomes.
- Have experience working with developer-facing products, SDKs, playgrounds, documentation, or APIs, understanding developer adoption patterns.
- Show a history of commitment to projects, seeing them through to completion.
Nice to have
- Experience shipping in-product growth features for developer tools or SaaS products, such as onboarding flows, activation sequences, upgrade paths, or in-product guidance.
- Familiarity with our technology stack: Next.js, React, Tailwind, TypeScript, Vercel, PostgreSQL, and the Anthropic Claude API.
- Experience building with Large Language Models (LLMs) in production environments, including prompt engineering, tool usage, and inference pipelines.
