Senior Product Engineer, AI at Fin
About the role
Fin is hiring Senior Product Engineers to join the AI Group and build the core systems behind Fin, the company's AI Customer Agent. You will collaborate closely with ML Scientists and product teams to define new ML features, research suitable algorithms, and quickly deliver working prototypes to customers. The team ships fast, often moving from successful offline tests to beta releases within weeks.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Develop the systems powering Fin's primary AI products, primarily using the ML Python stack but also contributing to the Rails application when needed
- Collaborate with ML Scientists to transform proof-of-concept code into production-ready, scalable solutions
- Partner with product teams across the company to shape AI-driven features and customer experiences
- Participate in every stage of software development from ideation and prototyping through implementation and testing
- Support hiring efforts and mentor fellow engineers on their career growth
- Raise technical standards around performance, reliability, and operational quality within the group and company-wide
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience shipping high-quality products
- No ML experience required; strong software engineering fundamentals are sufficient, and you can learn ML on the job
- Demonstrated significant impact in previous work
- Deep knowledge of at least one high-level programming language such as Ruby, Python, or JavaScript
- Strong technical fundamentals with a commitment to continuous learning
- Preference for progress over perfection
- Willingness to advocate for good outcomes
- BSc in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
Nice to have
- Prior experience in data analytics or a statistical role
