Staff Product Engineer

About the role

Fin is seeking a technical leader to help evolve our AI Customer Agent platform. You will balance hands-on development with architectural strategy while collaborating across disciplines to improve our customer support tools.

What you'll do

• Architect and scale backend and frontend systems to support our global user base.
• Manage the full software lifecycle from initial concept and prototyping to final implementation.
• Mentor engineers and partner with the Engineering Manager to define technical direction.
• Maintain high standards for system reliability, performance, and operational quality.
• Use AI-assisted developer tools to streamline workflows and reduce technical friction.
• Participate in hiring processes and support the career growth of team members.
• Execute incremental releases using feature flags to ensure continuous deployment.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience serving as the primary technical leader for an engineering team.
• Proven history of working directly with product managers and designers to deliver user value.
• Deep expertise in at least one high-level programming language such as Ruby, Python, or Perl.
• Experience building and maintaining distributed systems.
• Demonstrated ability to make a significant impact on product outcomes and team effectiveness.
• Experience developing SaaS products that serve a global audience.
