Staff Machine Learning Scientist

About the role

Fin is looking for a senior technical leader to drive the development of our AI Customer Agent. You will work closely with product and design teams to research, prototype, and deploy machine learning models that solve complex customer support challenges.

Requirements

• 5-8 years of experience in applied machine learning.
• Previous experience in a staff or senior role within software development, data science, or academia.
• Proven track record of delivering significant product impact.
• Strong programming proficiency.
• Experience serving as a primary technical lead for a team.
• Excellent communication skills for both technical and cross-functional audiences.
• Ability to navigate and solve ambiguous problems.
• Advanced degree in machine learning or a related technical field, such as an MSc.
• Strong scientific and analytical mindset.

Nice to have

• PhD or equivalent research environment experience.
• Experience shipping ML products to market.
• Specialized expertise in NLP, deep learning, reinforcement learning, Bayesian methods, or clustering.
• Strong mathematical or statistical background.
• Proficiency with SQL, data visualization, and tools like matplotlib.
