Senior Manager, Forward Deployed Engineering

About the role

Fin is seeking a technical leader to build and manage our Forward Deployed Engineering New Business team. This position requires a balance of hands-on technical execution and commercial strategy to drive success for our most complex enterprise customers.

What you'll do

• Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing team while maintaining technical quality during critical customer engagements.
• Oversee end-to-end delivery for seven-figure deals, including architecture, product evaluations, and technical demos.
• Act as a player-coach who remains involved in the details of strategic deployments.
• Translate field experiences into actionable feedback for R&D and Product teams to influence the roadmap.
• Develop and document reusable playbooks and tools to improve deployment efficiency.
• Identify and mitigate risks early in the customer lifecycle to ensure positive outcomes.
• Represent the company in executive meetings and strategic industry events.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Forward Deployed Engineering, Applied AI, or Solutions Architecture.
• 3+ years of experience in a leadership role managing technical, customer-facing teams.
• Proven history of deploying AI, data, or complex technical products within enterprise environments.
• Ability to navigate ambiguous problem spaces and communicate clear technical signals to internal stakeholders.
• Flexibility to partner with global teams across different time zones.
• Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
