Senior Engineer, Infrastructure Platform

About the role

Fin is seeking a Senior Engineer to join the Infra-Platform team within our Infraservices Group. You will build the foundational systems and automation that allow our product teams to ship code with high velocity and reliability. This role focuses on using AI-native workflows to eliminate manual toil and evolve our core infrastructure architecture.

What you'll do

• Develop automation and tooling to replace manual, repetitive infrastructure tasks.
• Design and implement major architectural updates to support our scaling requirements.
• Maintain the reliability of core services by performing deep-dive incident investigations and creating preventative fixes.
• Work across the full stack to trace and resolve issues from infrastructure to the application layer.
• Create self-service platforms for security, compute, and cost management to enable product engineers.
• Lead complex technical projects from initial design through to production deployment.
• Integrate AI coding agents into daily infrastructure workflows to improve efficiency and system safety.

Requirements

• Multiple years of experience building and operating distributed systems in cloud environments, preferably AWS.
• Strong background in modern programming languages and treating infrastructure as a software engineering discipline.
• Deep understanding of system reliability, performance metrics, and failure analysis.
• Proven ability to lead cross-team technical initiatives independently over extended periods.
• Experience using AI tools to automate operational tasks, code generation, and incident response.
• Excellent written communication skills for technical documentation and incident reviews.
