About the role
Figma is seeking a product designer to help build the future of collaborative software. You will focus on the technical and visual challenges of organizing and managing content within our platform.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Design end-to-end experiences for content management and delivery across Figma products.
- Partner with engineering to build technical infrastructure and platform capabilities, including open-source initiatives.
- Simplify complex technical systems into intuitive user interfaces.
- Create prototypes to validate concepts and communicate interaction decisions.
- Contribute to long-term product strategy using customer insights and data.
- Collaborate with product managers, researchers, and engineers throughout the development cycle.
- Mentor team members and provide design feedback to maintain high quality standards.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in UX and UI design for complex software products.
- Strong visual and interaction design skills with a focus on systems thinking.
- Ability to code or build functional prototypes to explore technical possibilities.
- Experience driving projects from discovery through launch while balancing technical and business constraints.
- Ability to define vision in ambiguous environments using research and product data.
- Proven track record of cross-functional collaboration with engineering and product teams.
Nice to have
- Experience building software via coding or AI-assisted development.
- Background in designing content management systems, asset management, or platform products.
- Familiarity with developer tools, APIs, or SDKs.
- Experience contributing to or designing for open-source software.
