Motion Designer

About the role

Figma is seeking a Motion Designer to join the Product Education team to help users master our platform. You will produce educational video content that simplifies complex design and development concepts for our global community.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Manage the full lifecycle of video production from initial concept to final publication.
• Partner with Education Designers and Content Strategists to write scripts and record voice overs.
• Handle all aspects of video creation including recording, asset design, animation, editing, and YouTube publishing.
• Develop motion graphics, animations, and transitions to clarify screen recordings.
• Consult with Product and Engineering teams to learn how new features function and the user problems they solve.
• Coordinate with Marketing, Brand, Community, and Growth teams to align content with feature launches.
• Monitor video performance metrics and interact with users in the comment sections.

Requirements

• Experience producing motion graphics for educational content within SaaS environments.
• Ability to create clear, accessible, and concise instructional material.
• Proven skill in identifying effective ways to teach complex topics and willingness to pivot when strategies do not work.
• History of collaborative brainstorming and creative project development.
• Dedication to making design and development careers accessible to a broad audience.
