Figma is developing AI-native tools to bridge the gap between advanced technology and human creativity. We are seeking an engineering leader to scale the Weave team while maintaining our standards for quality and craft.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with Product and Design to define and execute long-term roadmaps.
• Coordinate with cross-functional partners and other engineering units to explore AI applications for creative challenges.
• Recruit, manage, and mentor a team of engineers, including staff-level contributors.
• Foster a culture of accountability and positive collaboration across the organization.
• Support the organizational growth and scaling of the Weave engineering department.
• Promote an inclusive environment through hiring, mentorship, and community-building initiatives.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in engineering management, including hiring and team leadership.
• Ability to develop and communicate engineering and product strategies over short and long-term horizons.
• Background as an individual contributor building complex systems, with the ability to articulate technical details of your team's work.
• Proven track record of building high-performing teams, mentoring senior engineers, and recruiting top talent.
• Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Design, and Marketing to deliver internal and customer-facing projects.

Nice to have

• Prior experience working with or building design and creative software tools.
