About the role

Figma is seeking a leader to guide the data science strategy for our AI product suite, including Figma Agent, Make, and design systems. You will oversee a team of data scientists and managers to integrate analytical rigor into our product development and AI research efforts.

What you'll do

• Manage and mentor a team of data scientists and managers with diverse specializations in product strategy and impact measurement.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, design, and research leadership to define how we measure AI-powered assistants and agents.
• Promote data accessibility and quality standards across the organization.
• Partner with finance, marketing, and sales to translate data insights into business improvements.
• Build a culture of accountability and inclusivity while scaling the team.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience leading data science teams, including at least 2 years managing other managers.
• 7+ years of experience working in data science, AI, or related technical fields.
• Direct experience building or measuring AI products, specifically LLM-powered agents, copilots, or chatbots.
• Proficiency in experimentation, statistical methods, and forecasting.
• Proven ability to scale teams within fast-paced, high-growth environments.

Nice to have

• Experience managing 0 to 1 product development cycles.
