Infrastructure Security Engineer at FieldAI.
About the role
FieldAI is seeking an engineer to protect the cloud and deployment platforms that support our autonomous robotic systems. You will work directly with our engineering groups to build, assess, and refine the security of distributed systems that function in live production environments.

What you'll do
- Architect and enhance security for cloud-native infrastructure and Kubernetes setups.
- Protect CI/CD pipelines, software supply chains, and deployment workflows.
- Manage identity, authentication, secrets, and access control for production systems.
- Harden containerized workloads and Kubernetes clusters against current threats.
- Perform threat modeling and security assessments on operational systems.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to embed security controls into development cycles.
- Address production infrastructure vulnerabilities and improve system resilience.
- Establish security standards for large-scale distributed infrastructure.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in platform security, cloud security, infrastructure security, or SRE.
- Proficiency in networking, systems engineering, and software development.
- Experience securing distributed production systems and cloud infrastructure.
- Practical knowledge of Kubernetes, containerization, infrastructure automation, and CI/CD.
- Familiarity with secure design, secrets management, authentication, and identity systems.
- Experience with vulnerability management, security architecture reviews, and threat modeling.
- Ability to balance security requirements with operational reliability and development speed.
Nice to have
- Experience with large-scale cloud-native or distributed systems.
- Knowledge of build provenance, artifact signing, or software supply chain security.
- Background in runtime security, infrastructure hardening, or Kubernetes-specific security.
- Experience in platform engineering, SRE, or cloud-native operations.
- Familiarity with adversarial assessments, penetration testing, or offensive security.
- Experience maintaining mission-critical production environments.
