About the role
Field Ai is seeking a Federal Project Manager to guide complex robotics initiatives from initial planning through final delivery. You will bridge the gap between technical engineering teams and government stakeholders to ensure our embodied AI systems meet rigorous performance and safety standards.

What you'll do
- Manage multi-project portfolios by defining milestones, allocating resources, and overseeing budgets across engineering and field operations.
- Align cross-functional teams on project scope, dependencies, and timelines to ensure successful robot deployments.
- Coordinate go-to-market strategies with product and customer success departments to meet scalability and safety requirements.
- Track performance metrics and report on financials, ROI, and project status to leadership and investors.
- Create executive updates, board materials, and investor presentations.
- Identify and resolve technical or commercial bottlenecks to keep programs on schedule.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in engineering, business, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in program support, project coordination, or operations within a technical environment.
- Ability to translate high-level goals into structured task lists and timelines.
- Strong communication skills with experience coordinating engineering teams.
- Proficiency in project tracking software such as Jira, Asana, or Monday.
- Must be a U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R 120.62, including U.S. Citizens, U.S. Nationals, or lawful permanent residents.
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearances or export control authorizations for defense programs.
Nice to have
- Master degree in a technical field.
- PMP certification.
- Experience in robotics, autonomy, aerospace, or defense sectors.
- Familiarity with government contracting including SBIR, SOWs, and deliverable-based contracts.
- Knowledge of ITAR/EAR compliance.
- Experience managing projects involving rugged ground autonomy.
- Experience leading projects with DoD stakeholders such as the US Army, USSOCOM, or DARPA.
- Background in a fast-growing startup.
