Field Application Engineer

About the role

Field Ai is hiring a technical lead to manage the deployment and integration of autonomous robotic platforms including quadrupeds, rovers, and humanoids. You will act as the main bridge between our engineering staff and our clients, ensuring our systems perform reliably in construction, mining, and manufacturing settings.

What you'll do

• Manage the full lifecycle of customer deployments from planning to final implementation.
• Coordinate project timelines and operational procedures across internal engineering teams and external clients.
• Supervise the operation of robotic systems in live field environments.
• Resolve technical issues involving hardware, software, networking, and system integration on-site.
• Analyze performance data from the field to provide actionable feedback to our product development teams.
• Lead status meetings and readiness reviews with stakeholders.
• Create technical documentation and operational guides for end users.

Requirements

• Bachelor or Master degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Proven experience working with autonomous systems, drones, quadrupeds, or humanoid robotics.
• Proficiency in Python or C++ for scripting and programming.
• Background in troubleshooting embedded systems, sensors, and robotic subsystems.
• Demonstrated ability to manage project schedules and technical deliverables independently.
• Experience serving as a primary technical contact for customers.
• Ability to travel frequently and work on-site at client locations.
• Physical ability to lift and transport equipment up to 50 pounds.
